Coming up:  Ev'ry Time I Feel The Spirit

Chancel Choir is one of the most active ministry groups at First Church.  During their ministry year (September - June) they lead the traditional worship service nearly every Sunday and often share an anthem and assist in leading singing in the modern blend worship service as well.  Additional music is prepared for Christmas and Spring choral music Sundays, Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and Easter worship services.  First Church's Chancel Choir is regularly directed by Kathleen Schaffer, who has been recently recognized as Kern County Music Educator of the Year.  We rehearse on Thursdays at 7 PM, usually ending between 8:30 and 8:45.  Chancel Choir is open to any adult singer who loves to lift up their voice for the glory of God.  Music reading and experience are pluses, but are not requirements for participation in Chancel Choir.
