Liturgists

Liturgists assist in leading worship each Sunday.  They represent the congregation in spoken word:  giving church announcements, reading Scripture, and occasionally leading prayers of the people, responsive readings, and other elements of our worship services.  They often help to move the timing and shape the mood of our worship gatherings.

What makes a "good liturgist?" 

Strong love for the Lord and a heart for worshiping Him. 

Ability to be friendly and confident. 

Ability to think quickly on your feet and "roll with the punches."

All liturgists at First are members in good standing at First UMC.
