NURTURE COMMITTEE |
|
A committee which responds to the spiritual, emotional, and
often practical needs of members of the congregation. Offering
opportunities for prayer development and spiritual enrichment
are among responsibilities of this group. These people look for
ways to "nurture" the membership of the church.

Other Ways to Serve the
Nurture at First Church:
Prayer List-
People
who desire to receive the weekly prayer list, generated by the
congregation, and then pray over it.
Prayer Cards-
Sent notes weekly to folks who have
requested prayer.

Prayers and Squares and Knit-A-Prayer
meet
simultaneously on the 2nd Sunday and 4th Monday of every month
from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Quilts and shawls
may be requested by anyone who knows someone needing special
prayer. Request forms are available on Sunday’s and in the
church office.

Knit-A-Prayer
is a fellowship for those who like to knit and pray as they make
shawls. Shawls are available on the spur of the moment to
mark special occasions such as births and weddings or offering
comfort to those in need. Knit-A-Prayer is
always
welcoming additional participants to join us on our regular
meeting dates. |
